.....Whatever you want to call them, I used to do them and sell them at local art and craft shows, festivals, (The Allentown Art Festival) and more from 1976 to 1990. It was fun, rewarding and a lot of work. I have a couple left and occasionally put them on ebay. Have sold a few over the years. Here are 3 that are presently up in the store. http://stores.ebay.com/ERIE-CANAL-TRADING-EMPORIUM

Mattel So In Style (S.I.S.) Dolls - New 2009
The So In Style dolls were introduced in the fall of 2009 by Mattel. Stacey McBride-Irby, a Barbie designer of 12 years and mother of two, saw the potential for diversity within Mattel and started her "passion project" in the summer of 2007.
She said she was inspired by her 6-year-old daughter and wanted something that looked like her and other girls in the African-American community.

Darren
The final product: So In Style (S.I.S.), black Barbie dolls with fuller lips, a wider nose, distinctive cheek bones and curlier hair.
So In Style features "Grace," "Kara" and "Trichelle" -- three best friends who are all "about fashion, fun, and friendship" -- as well as, "little sisters," who aspire to be like the older dolls.
Grace
Kara
The dolls are all very posable, all have jointed elbows, Darren has jointed legs as well, and the 4 ladies have the "pop joint" movable legs capable of some different positions. Very detailed clothing and accessories make this series a real winner!

The Westmoreland Glass Company was located in Grapeville, PA. It began manufacturing and selling glassware in 1888 and continued until 1984 when the factory closed it's doors forever. Beginning with containers to hold the mustard they produced, they found a niche in the glassware industry and kept up with the times as interest in glass moved from pressed glass at the turn of the 19th to 20th century, art deco and depression type glass in all colors in the 1920's and 30's, Milk Glass through the 1940's and 50's to the color explosion in the 1960's and 70's.
